Etno Chic

Hello guys,

It's such a beautiful Sunday, nice sunny weather, perfect for long walks in the park, yet I'm absolutely numb :). I've waited so long for Spring to come, and now that it's finally here, I'm paralyzed...It might have to do with the fact that I've come to hate Sundays...I don't feel like Sundays are part of the week-end anymore. Knowing that the next day I have to wake up really early and start yet another wonderful (NOT) week at work annoys  me to bits.

Above all, I just took my boyfriend to the airport, he will be spending an entire week in Wien for some workshops and I'm all alone and sad :(.

Luckily, I will be joining him on Friday (Yeeeeey). He was supposed to be in Austria until Friday but he decided to stay the weekend, and he also bought me tickets as a birthday surprise present...awwww!

So I really have to cheer up and get ready for my mini holiday! Let's hope the weather stays this way because if I see any signs of  rain, let alone snow...I think I'm gonna loose it :))!

Have a wonderful week, guys!

Love,

Mamalina

Enchanted forest

Hello,

I woke up this Saturday, looked out my window and what did I see? It was snowing...again! Wasn't that excited about it, since I had to travel to my hometown to celebrate my Mother's name day. But once the snow stopped falling, everything around me stood still. The foggy road back to Bucharest, beautiful snow covered landscapes, made me remember how much I actually love winter.

Wish you all a wonderful week!

Love,

Mamalina

P.S. I have to thank my boyfriend for enduring the freezing cold just to snap some pictures of me. I sure hope he won't catch a cold, cause in our relationship, we share everything :)).

Autumn colors

Hi, guys!

Still striving for comfort while wondering the tiny streets of Venice, I tried my best to add a bit of style and personality to my holiday outfits.

Here I am, wearing this mixture of warm autumnal colors while discovering the Venetian canals and many other wonders.

Hope you guys like it!

Love,

Mamalina

Won't you take me to...Corfu Town!

I must confess that as much as I enjoy sitting all day long at the beach, relaxing, I sometimes feel the need to just walk along an amazing city's streets and do a bit of sightseeing.

Luckily, on Corfu Island I got to visit one of the most interesting cities in Greece, referred to as Corfu Town- a place with a heavy Venetian influence (coming from the time Venetians controlled the island).

Besides taverns, cafes and shops of all types, you have this amazing old city just lying there, between the two fortresses, just waiting for you to discover its many beauties on foot.

This was exactly how we spent one afternoon in Corfu.

For this special, hot day, walking in the sun I chose to wear my favorite jeans shorts, a strap top with studs and flat sandals- fun, yet comfortable. You can also spot my new printed denim shirt, that I brought with me in case it got chilly in the evening :).

 Love,

Mamalina

Floral Dream

Hello!

Beside its amazing views and beaches, Corfu is famous for its cuisine which comprises many delicious dishes. I could say that corfiot cuisine is somewhat of a combination between Mediterranean cuisine (olive oil, vegetables, cheese, pastas, meat) and Venetian cuisine, cooked with local spicy recipes- mmmm, yummy!

This makes Corfu a food-lover's dreamland. Me and my friends (petits gourmands) tried all the corfiot delicacies like: sofrito, stifado, tsatziki, saganaki, moussaka and of course a lot of sea food.

Because we wanted to make sure we would enjoy the full culinary experience, we searched for the best restaurants in Paleokastritsa on Trip Advisor and went directly to the target :).

One of our favorite restaurants was actually a family tavern called Nausika, a traditional restaurant with great food, very nice staff and pleasant atmosphere.

For me, this was a great occasion to dress up a bit, after spending the whole day in a swimsuit and with sand in my hair :).

Here, I'm wearing a floral print shirt dress. I'm definitely in love with floral prints and I'm glad they were so hot this season! Beside its beautiful colored print, the dress has a very light, thin fabric that makes it just perfect for a hot summer day.

Combine it with some cute accessories and you'll get yourself a great outfit for a late afternoon dinner with friends.

Hope you like it!

Love,

Mamalina

Graffiti

Hello,

On Sunday afternoon, we went to eat at Rock&Pasta, which has lately become our favorite nearby place to eat. The overall experience here is very nice: the food is really good (especially the pasta) and they play very good music (but I guess it was obvious, giving the name of the place...).

Putting together an outfit is a very simple task when I know I'm gonna eat! I like to play on the safe side so I choose clothes that are comfortable. These Zara ripped jeans fit exactly into this category. I bought them on sale, which was great, considering I don't usually buy white clothing items, especially pants. I chose to pair them with a Zara top with glasses print and studded neckline. It seemed like a fun, casual combination.

Note to myself: Remember to always take pictures before I eat...:)! Having to pose on a full stomach- not my ideea of fun :)!

Love,

Mamalina
