The badlands

Hi guys!

I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and spent some quality time with friends or loved ones! I for one sure did that! :) We spent Christmas in our hometown, with our families and now we are getting ready to go to Bansko for our holiday snowboarding trip. We're going to be in Bulgaria for New Years Eve, which has become quite a tradition. I'm gonna keep this short and simple, as I have lots of bags to pack. I worked for these past couple of days and hadn't had time to properly plan my trip and organize all my shit  stuff. We're leaving early tomorrow morning and I really want to get a good night sleep, get some rest! Last night was pretty shaky (hello, earthquake) and that pretty much ruined my sleep.

I'm leaving you with these pictures we took the second day of Christmas. This is my go-to casual outfit for winter. Some cute layers, jeans, boots and a hat and I'm all set! I'm in looove with my new boots. Every year, I allow myself to splurge on a certain item, and this time I chose to buy some new boots (my old ones were getting kind of gross, but I still love them). I've been telling you I'm obsessed with red lately, and, I don't know... it's funny how a pair of winter boots can make me sooo happy :).

This being said, I wish you all a wonderful end to this year and a fresh, fun and happy start of 2017!

The biggest hugs!

Into the woods

Well, hello there!

It's Christmas week! It's been super cold lately but then again of course it's cold! D'oh! It's frickin' winter people! Let's all just get through this week so we can celebrate the holidays with our dear ones :). I seem to have caught a cold, like everybody else on the planet, so I'm a bit bummed! I have soooo many things to do this week... I cannot believe it happened again this year but YES: it's Christmas week, and I still haven't bought the presents! Damn it! Why do I let this happen every year? Why, Santa? Why?

I'm a full time working, ahem, slave, so I have only a few hours in the evening to run errands. It's gonna take a Christmas miracle to help me survive this week. I guess I'll have to buy a little something for me, like a small treat, some type of reward, every time I check something off the list. Yup! That's a great idea! I'm gonna do that! And it's all gonna be fine!

Remember a few lines ago, when I was telling you I'm a bit sick? Well, just look at the wonderful pictures below, of me in a cropped sweater and high waisted  pants, in the middle of the forest, surrounded by...yes, you guessed, SNOW! Of course you would get sick, you idiot! Put a damn coat on! Oh, wait! :)

Haaaapy holidays and the biggest hug in the world!

Yours truly,

Mamalina

Still falling for you (pun intended)

So... If you live in Bucharest, you probably realize that the photos below were taken a week ago, when winter was still somewhat a version of autumn or spring. As I write this post, winter is winter :). It snowed yesterday, and the snow quickly changed into ice, and... let the fun begin, guys (uuuhh, it rhymes)! I don't think there ever was a winter in my life when I didn't fall on the icy roads, landed on my butt and turned it a scary shade of purple. This is just how I am, I can't help it! At times, I think to myself I'd better fall on purpose once and get it over with! Just throw myself on the ground... I mean, what's the point of waiting for the inevitable to happen?!? The anticipation is killing me!

Anywayzzz, let's move forward to the outfit! This holiday season I've been aaaalll about red and its many variations. Yup! I'm a bit, fat holiday cliche. But I don't give a crap! I'm loving it! So I'm gonna continue to wear this color until it makes everybody around me's eyes bleed (insert evil laughter).

It was super sunny and warm when we took the photos (the calm before the storm, and by storm I mean the elections, but I won't go there...). I adored the location. We're always scouting for new places in Bucharest and this one was just eye candy for me!

The outfit is pretty simple, but totally my style! Turtlenecks are my go-to clothing items during winter and this one in particular is super versatile and compliments many of my skirts!

I hope you'll enjoy the photos! Thank you for the virtual visit!

Love,

Mamalina
