My beautiful mountains...

Warning: This is not an outfit post! As you're about to see, I am actually wearing sweatpants :)!

This post is about my amazing country and its wonderful landscapes. This past weekend we drove to Trasfagarasan to visit Balea Lake with our folks. We were blessed with an amazing, sunny weather. You could still see snow on the mountain peaks, as a reminder that winter is coming :). When we reached Balea, we were welcomed by this fantastic scenery, which was truly mind blowing! It wasn't my first time out there, and I'm sure it won't be my last, but there was something spectacular about that day, this warm light that made everything look like a beautiful painting! I won't say much, but rather let the pictures speak for themselves! What you're about to see is the amazing Balea Lake, Capra Lake and the beautiful mountain peaks surrounding them.

Enjoy the wonders and visit Romania :)!

Cheers to the freakin' weekend

Boy, did this weekend go by really fast, or what...?

Yesterday evening I almost had a panic attack at the thought that a new week was about to begin...I really need a break form work, from Bucharest... My boyfriend and I were planning to take our folks on a little trip next weekend, which was also meant to calm my nerves :)), but our plans might be brutally put to rest...We wanted to go to this nice, quiet place on the shore of Vidraru Lake, but since Transfagarasan was all over the news this past weekend (Cars stuck in snow, in Septermeber! Really, winter?!?) we might need to change our plans and maybe go to Brasov or Sinaia...

It doesn't really matter where we go, as long as I leave for the weekend. When car horns wake me up at 6 am,  not even  letting my poor alarm clock do its pathetic job, it's an obvious sign that I need to escape from this noisy town!

Wish me luck!

Love,

Mamalina

There must always be a Stark in Winterfell...

Hi guys,

This past week was pretty intense, as I was separated from the majority of my co-workers, who have been like my second family for the past 6 years...The company I work for went through some changes, which forced this temporary separation. And even though I will be joining them on November 1st, I must admit I was a bit overwhelmed with emotion at the thought of not seeing their familiar faces every day. It's funny how you get to develop such great friendships at the workplace, with all the stress, tight deadlines, insane competition for better results...Me and my co-workers were blessed with an ideal environment for becoming friends, thanks to an amazing organizational culture. I was thinking today how important it is to feel comfortable with the people you work with, to find a common goal, to share ideas and interests.

I need to stop before this turns into one of the lectures from University: "Today, we'll be covering topics like: organizational behavior, organizational culture, bla, bla, bla" :).

Honestly though, I will miss everybody terribly, and I can't wait to join them. I will be right in time for the winter holidays :P, so I could not think of a better moment to be reunited with "my family".

Have a wonderful weekend!
