Little Red Whining Hood

Hi guys,

No sign of summer just yet, huh? Today I was caught off guard by heavy rain while I was coming home from work. I have this thing where I forget to take my umbrella on rainy days and I always seem to carry it with me the rest of the time... I'm such a dork!

Anyways, between the weddings season and taking on new responsibilities at work, I barely have time for anything... I'm so tired and cranky, and this weather simply doesn't do it for me... I try to maintain my sanity by thinking about our upcoming holidays, but August seems so far away. I am out of patience :)! I hope I'll convince some of my friends to join me on a little road trip sometimes soon. I need to recharge, to get away for a bit, to escape...

This being said, I'm leaving you with a very simple outfit. I recently rediscovered the color Red. I remember how my Mom used to love to dress me in this color when I was little, but as the time went by, it lost its place in my wardrobe. This blouse made me think about those times, and my Mom's love for Red, so I'm planning to wear it more often. Again, it is off the shoulders, but I tied a scarf around my neck for a little bit of coverage (still inside my comfort zone :P).

I hope you'll like the pictures, we tried not to focus so much on close-ups, as the backdrop was pretty amazing :).

Many hugs!

The family you choose...

Hi guys,

This past weekend, we were the Godparents for our friends' special wedding day, and it was magical. My heart is so full of emotion, and I feel beyond blessed with such amazing people around me. It was a beautiful wedding, the weather worked in our favor, the guests were lovely, full of energy, always on the dance floor :). All my friends were present-a bunch of goofballs as always, and we had a blast!

We did a group dance on Bruno Mars's Uptown Funk (group dances are kind of our little wedding tradition) and the feedback was great, everybody seemed to have enjoyed it. We sure had lots of fun at the rehearsals, as none of us comes remotely close to a professional dancer :)).

In only three weeks-time we'll get to repeat the experience, and I couldn't be more excited! I am humbled by the fact that our friends chose us to be their Godparents and I'm so happy that I can now called them "family". I am so proud of each and every one of them and I feel lucky to have them in my life.

Cheers to friendships, and marriages :) that last a lifetime!

Reset

Hi guys,

A new week, a new post :). I try to be as consistent as I can with the blog posts, which means that I try my best to post every week. but I have to tell you that lately I haven't had time for anything. It's been really busy at work, and I've been tired as heck. But since this blog is my sweet escape from the real world, I just had to find the time to take some photos, while also taking a much deserved walk in the park.

Guys, let's take a moment to appreciate our amazing nature. I was so overwhelmed by the beauty of this grass, so green, so beautiful. It was like looking at a paining, I couldn't believe my eyes. It's hard to imagine that in the middle of a noisy, crowed, polutted city you can find this kind of magic. It's like pressing the reset button to the entire week that just passed, with all worries and all the problems, and just by staring at this grass and flowers, you instantly feel refreshed and new!

This being said, I'll leave you with the photos. Next week Alex and I are going to be Godparents for two of our close friends. Busy week, followed by an emotional weekend of celebration and love.

Many hugs!

Wind it up

Hi guys,

Wow, time goes by soooo fast. Easter came and went like a dream almost... And before I realized, I was back to work, yay! Even the weather rebelled this morning :)). Holidays were awesome, as always, we got to spend them with our families, and because it was super sunny and warm, we were able to go to the countryside, where everything is much more magical. We had all the food :))), we're now in a food coma. I honestly think I'm gonna explode, I'm only eating guacamole and carrots for the rest of the week, I swear, hahaha.

Anyways, now we're back to reality, gearing up for the wedding season. In only two weeks time we're going to be Godparents, and then again in another three weeks. Oh, the perks of being first to get married in the gang :)). We're super excited to be taking in the role of spiritual parents, we love our friends to bits and will do our best to set a good example for them.

Back when it was still pretty outside (seems like an eternity ago, but it was only yesterday...), we were able to shoot the outfit below. I absolutely adore the dress for several reasons, one of them being that it was a gift from my friends on my birthday. I love the style of the dress, I'm gonna wear the crap out of it this upcoming summer, it has such a light fabric, it's super comfortable and chic. I combined it with some brown boots and a fringed back to add to the boho style that I was going for. I hope you guys like the result.

Many, many warm hugs and fingers crossed that the weather gets better soon.

Love,

Mamalina
