Celebratory Spring

Hi guys,

Today finally felt like Spring! It was such a beautiful, sunny day! After a rather rough start, with rain, snow, wind and freezing cold, it seems we might actually enjoy some sunshine and warmer weather! Fingers crossed!

My birthday was last Thursday, as some of you know. I'm not a fan of big parties, so I celebrated it my style :). As always, I went to my hometown to spend some quality time with my family. I spent the day with Mom, drinking coffee, eating and loosing ourselves in endless conversations- my idea of a perfect day! My Mom is the funniest person, she has these awesome stories involving kids (she's a kindergarten teacher) and we constantly laugh every-time we're together! Spending time with her is like therapy! In the evening, I went to dinner with Alex. He has had some pretty hectic couple of weeks at work and he's longing for some days off to relax and de-stress! He and me both :)! So we're planning a little getaway pretty soon (hopefully, before Ester), to celebrate our birthdays and re-charge our batteries.

And now about my favorite part: the gifts! I got a lot of gifts for my birthday: tickets to the Electric Castle festival in Cluj, a lot of clothes, pajamas, sneakers, to only name a few. Out of all the clothing items that I received, I'm most excited about this awesome jacket that I'm wearing in the pictures below. I'm telling you, there're nothing like wearing bright colors on gloomy days! It's such a mood lifter! I adore it and I'm going  to wear it like crazy this Spring!

Not your typical Spring attire...

Hi guys,

Officially, it's Spring! It might not seem so by looking at my pictures, but March marks the beginning of the beloved season of rebirth! It is also my favorite month. Yesterday was my Mom's birthday and my birthday is coming in a couple of days! I'm super excited! Alex has a busy week at work so we might have to postpone any type of celebration but that's ok! I can be patient as long as I receive my gifts on my birthday! Not a day later! :))

 I know that these pictures don't necessarily scream Spring, but I fell in love with this landscape as I was driving to my hometown last weekend. Plus, it happened to be the perfect backdrop for my outfit. So for all you Spring lovers out there: please excuse the overall autumnal feel of this shoot! :)

The bag is by far my favorite item, I think I'm developing quite an obsession for it! Can you blame me? I am also wearing a flower headband that Alex gave me as a Martisor (I thought it was super cute), and my grandmother's medallion!

Now that the Spring is in the air...

Hi guys,

Saturday truly felt like a Spring day. Not only was it sunny, but it was warm and fresh! It was a clear sign that the season of rebirth is not far away! Beside warmer temperatures, fresh air and flowers in bloom, Spring also means the celebration of the most important people in my life: my husband, both my parents, and of course, myself! We'll have a lot of special days during the next couple of months, and I'm super excited and grateful that my family and friends are healthy. They continuously brighten my days!

On Saturday one of my best friends turned 30 and threw this super fun pink themed party and we had a blast (you might have seen pictures on Instagram), tomorrow is Alex's birthday and also Dragobete... So yeah, lots of celebrations! It's like the holiday season for me :)!

As far as my outfit is concerned, I have to say that it's one of my favorite combinations ever! I love how the two prints mix, I even bought pajamas with these prints! I'm obsessed! I thought I'd rock my wedding shoes with a more casual look, so here they are, talking a walk in the park, all dressed down :).

Spring wishlist

Hi guys,

The weather is finally starting to get warmer so it's time to get my spring wardrobe updated :). My birthday is coming soon, so shopping is very much allowed! And every shopping session starts with a well documented wishlist. Florals, pastels.... I can't wait to wear them all!

My kind of love

Hi guys,

It's been a while since my last post and I could't wait to get back on the blogosphere! Sadly, my beloved photographer-husband has been a bit sick during the last couple of weeks, so I could't drag him with me to photo shoots (just an ear infection, nothing too serious, but still...). Now he's feeling better, so we took advantage of the sun showing its face on Saturday to capture our own celebration of love (or should I say my celebration of love :P)

We don't actually celebrate Valentine's Day, not because we have something against it, but because Alex is born on the 24th of February, on Dragobete, so we always celebrate on that day. But with all the craziness surrounding V-Day, it was impossible not to get a little caught up in the moment :). So here I am, wearing a fancy tulle skirt (that I absolutely adore), almost having LOVE written all over me... heart balloons and all :).

Hope you guys will enjoy the pictures and the outfit. I for one really love it!
