Human Race

"Look at us. Running around. Always rushed. Always late. Guess that's why they called it the human race. But sometimes, it slows down just enough for all the pieces to fall into place. Fate works its magic. And you're connected"

The above lines are from the movie "The Switch". I know, it's not the deepest, most awarded, most inspiring movie...It's just one of those "feel good" movies that I enjoy watching from time to time, but this message kinda' stuck with me...

I only have one month left until my wedding day, and in the last few weeks, all these emotions came rushing in ...I always thought that years go by so quickly, but now I realize that something important is left behind: people, feelings, priceless memories, that we just don't have the time to acknowledge because we are so focused on the future, we are always anticipating...

For me, it was really joyful and fun to stop for a little while and reflect over the years gone by. It made me happy and thankful!

Have a wonderful week, you guys!

Dog days are over

Hi guys,

This morning I realized that autumn is near. I woke up with this brrrr, chilly feeling, looked outside my window, then checked my phone because it didn't feel like it was time to wake up...Yet it was...The days are getting shorter, the temperatures are slowly falling, the leaves are starting to change color. Yep, it's a time of great change, and not just in nature. For me, this autumn is special, as I'm going to get married in October (so that chilly feeling might have something to do with this :P). I'm nervous, yet excited! I'm over my head with planning, yet over the heels in love :). I'm afraid, yet so ready to experience the amazing beauty of my special day.

Until that moment comes to be wearing my dream white dress, I'll leave you with this gorgeous dress, to celebrate the early autumn.

Have a lovely week!

Love,

Mamalina

Travel the world and the seven seas...

"Once you have traveled, the voyage never ends...The mind cand never break off from the journey."- Pat Conroy

Hi guys,

I'm back to share with you more of the magic of my dalmatian holiday. Presenting today: the enchanting Dubrovnik!

Dubrovnik was the highlight of my trip to Croatia! This eternal, unchangeable historical heritage was everything I'd expected, and more! By far, the most amazing thing to do while in Dubrovnik is to walk the old town fortified walls. An advice: do not wonder along the walls during the hottest part of the day, or you'll be melting in the sun, like we almost did :). It was all worth it, though! Just look at these amazing views of its famous rooftops, its many churches, historic fountains and narrow streets. No wonder it's called "Pearl of the Adriatic".

I'll leave the words behind, and let the pictures paint the story!

Have a beautiful weekend!

Love,

Wonderlust

Hi guys,

I'm back from an amazing holiday in Croatia. I'm tired, yet I'm feeling relaxed and inspired :)! We visited Plitvice Lakes, Dubrovnik, Trogir, Sibenik and Split, and with every little place, I got more and more in love with this country. I'm still blown away by its natural beauty and its cultural diversity: rich history, old towns with narrow streets and an amazing architecture, and astonishing, almost virgin beaches, with clear blue water...It was truly the perfect getaway for me- I was about to have a pre-wedding freak-out :). I really needed a break from all that!

Croatia is a wonderful destination, especially if you plan to visit it in the early autumn, in order to avoid the crowds and the rather high temperatures, which were the only things I didn't like about my holiday! Everything else was down right perfect! I was also impressed with the local people's hospitality and the local cuisine- yummy!

The fist set of photos were taken in Trogir. The old town of Trogir is an Unesco protected world heritage site. The entire town is basically a historical monument and a charming place to visit, with its many churches, towers, narrow streets, and amazing views of the turquoise sea.

I'll be sharing more photos  from Croatia in the following posts! I wish you all a wonderful week!

Love,
