Italian getaway {Florence Travel Diary}

Hi guys,

So, this will be part two of my Florence Travel Diary. We've spend almost the entire day visiting Pitti Palace. On our way, we also passed by Santa Croce, and we had to enter. Florence churches and cathedrals are simply astonishing, unlike anything I've seen before.

In order to get to the palace, we took a short walk across Ponte Vechio from the Ufizzi Gallery. Pitti was amazing, we visited both the palace and the beautiful gardens. We were so lucky, because it was such a warm autumn day and the gardens and the surroundings looked picture perfect! It was super relaxing and we had a great time! We ended the day in this awesome restaurant, unfortunately I don't remember the name, but we had the best pizza and wine. The perfect ending to a perfect day.

I hope you guys will enjoy the images! Many, many hugs!

Weekend Scent

Hi guys,

As the weather gets colder and the air is crisp, spending the weekend afternoon at home, drinking tea and watching our favorite TV shows slowly becomes quite a tradition. This autumn, I became quite obsessed with scented candles, I adore the relaxed atmosphere they create. Today we decided to add to our collection with a couple of Yankee candles. I don't usually buy them, since I think they are rather expensive, but around holiday season I always find myself splurging on certain items, and this year my focus so happen to be on candles... :). I chose Vanilla Cupcake (which is burning in our living room as we speak write), and Christmas Memories, which is also featured in the photos below and it smells delicious!

As for my outfit, it is colorful and fun, but super comfortable and perfect for a day of shopping.

Hope you'll enjoy the post! Happy weekend!

love,

Not your ordinary bag...

Hi guys,

While I'm here cooking another Florence travel diary, I thought I would share with you guys one of my favorite autumn combos of this year: neutrals, suede and fringes. It's a casual and super comfortable look that I would practically live in on a daily basis if I could :). When we took the photos, the trees were still full of leaves and the colors were pretty dope. I needed that in order to create a bit of a contrast with my neutral look, and I'm pleased with the results. The star of this outfit has to be the fringed bag! I have a pretty simple style, but when it comes to bags, I can't resist one that can make a statement. I loved the details, the suede material and fringes on this one! I think it really added to my outfit!

The weekend is rapidly approaching, I hope we'll still have some more sunny autumn days to enjoy!

Many, many hugs!

Sweet escape {Florence Travel Diary}

Hi guys,

There's no arguing with the fact that we live in some pretty strange times... Without mentioning anything in particular (because we all lived and felt every moment of pain and despair brought by the recent tragedies), I'm just going to say this: I'm hurt and I pray to God for a better and safer world!

I've been through some rough patches this past couple of months, after a period of prolonged stress that triggered a pretty ugly case of anxiety! I'm not going to share much on the subject, but I am more than happy to answer to your questions, if any of you are going through something similar, so do not hesitate to ask! The bottom line is that I wasn't myself anymore, and all that's been happening kind of forced me to slow down, to analyze which are the main stressors in my life and to try and eliminate them. Things happen with the world outside that we don't understand, but what I'm trying to say is that sometimes, our own world, the one within us, can also be shattered and we have to take better care of ourselves!

Travel has always been my escape, and during these times, it helped tremendously. We had bought the tickets to Florence some time around March. As the departure date approached, I was becoming worried that I wouldn't be able to enjoy the city break, because I wasn't feeling well. Still, I decided to go and it was amazing! The weather was perfect, there were fewer tourists than usual, the views were spectacular, the food was delicious. It was such a nice escape from everything, it was almost a healing experience. Because travel does that sometimes... it takes you away from the hurricane that is your life, and slows you down a bit, makes you enjoy things.

I hope you guys will love the photos as much as I do! Florence is beyond beautiful. You will be seeing some panoramic views of the city, taken from the Giotto bell tower, the Dome and Piazzale Michelangelo. I'll soon come back with more images from the trip.

Many, many hugs!
