Mellow Yellow

Hi guys,

I honestly thinks there's nothing I love more than a spring afternoon soft light on a weekend day. It has such a  calming effect on me. I feel that I'm pushing myself really hard throughout the week, going to work, and trying to, you know, have a life... By the end of the week, I feel overwhelmed and tired, I literately have no energy. But then the weekend comes, and I'm back to life, and this time of the year, with all the green, and flowers, and birds, and gentle wind, each day that I can spend outside of my house/office is such a blessing!

We took the photos below on Saturday, in the Botanical Garden. We spend about 45 minutes there before meeting some friends for dinner, and we got recharged. It was so refreshing and the light was just perfect.

As for the outfit, it is pretty casual. This off the shoulders trend is a bit out of my comfort zone, but I thought I would give it a try and I must say I liked it a lot. The chocker necklace helped, as I was feeling more covered around the neck area :). Also, I seem to really enjoy wearing jeans this spring, and this pair from Mango is so comfortable and versatile, I simply adore it!

This being said, have a great rest of the week (fingers crossed that the weather gets better)! Many hugs and kisses!

Love,

Mamalina

Weekend vibes

Hi guys,

These past sunny days called for a full weekend. Our Sunday was especially beautiful, and quite eventful! We went to the Village Musseum with some friends to spend some quality time and enjoy a little picnic, and we were welcomed by a pretty animated atmosphere, dancers and enthusiastic crowds :). I was most impressed by the amazing display of traditional costumes, some of which I was able to photograph and you can see them below. We then placed our blankets on the green grass, in the shade, and relaxed for a bit, chit chatting about our friends' upcoming weddings. We will be the Godparents for two of our couple friends this summer, so we are pretty involved in all the planning and organizing of the events.

For all of the gang's weddings, we have this tradition of doing a group dance, so in the afternoon we went to rehearsals, followed by a much needed bear in the Old City Center to reward ourselves for all the effort.

We had quite an amazing time and we are now ready for a new week :). I hope you'll enjoy the post!

Many hugs!

Love,

Mamalina

Walking on sunshine

Hi guys,

Lately, one of my favorite things to do has been to walk. Yep, as simple as that! I come from a very small town, during my childhood and my teenage years I've never used public transportation. I used to walk to high school, to the market, to the parks to meet my friends, to the forest, basically everywhere. When I moved to Bucharest, I started taking the tram or the subway for distances that weren't nearly as big as the ones I was used to in my hometown. I gave up to laziness...

Last year I went through a rough patch, and there were times when I could't stand being in crowds, I was feeling suffocated. I use the tram to get to and from work, and at a point I started to avoid crowded stations by getting off early and walking the rest of the distance. It felt amazing! I discovered I could easily and a lot more pleasantly get home by walking through a park and then by a lake, instead of being packed in a tram with a bunch of tired, sad faces. Instead, I was feeling the air, watching children play, happy people walking their dogs...

Then the winter came, the weather got cold and it was difficult for me to maintain the same routine. So I was back in the tram with the other sad faces :).

So you can imagine how happy I've been during the last days, now that Spring finally came and I'm able to go back to my therapeutic walks :).

With this in mind, I wish you a sunny week ahead!

Many hugs!

Love,

Mamalina
