Hello,
The countdown for Corfu has officially started, so this week I'll have to put together the last details of the trip. I'm mostly concerned about my luggage (I have a huge problem with over-packing, I know nothing about moderation...Oups!). Me and 3 other friends will be traveling by car, which means we'll have limited space for the luggage...I guess we'll have to see how that goes...:)!
Between packing, doing laundry, shopping for bathing suits and other stuff we need, getting overly excited, I finally decided to take my favorite blue dress for a walk on Sunday. It was a perfect summer day, the weather was just beautiful!
This dress is Mario by Marius Musat (I'm a big fan of his clothes, especially the dresses) and I think it has the most amazing shape and color. Just because I had to walk a lot, and I'm not really a heels person, I combined it with my trusty Pull&Bear wedges and matching braided brown belt.
There is something extra special about the clutch bag, though, that I really want to share: it is vintage, it's actually Pop's Grandmother's clutch bag, that she was kind enough to offer to me as a present. I love vintage clothing items because they all tell a story and have an old epoch sweet mysterious scent!
Lately, I'm all about little DIY projects :), so I thought I would give it a try with this clutch bag: its simplicity allowed me to play with it. I had this beautiful colored butterfly brooch from Zara, but it was broken. I wanted to fix it the minute I broke it, but never got to until last week. I thought that attaching it to the bag would make it look sophisticated, yet fun, and I was very pleased about the result.
Now, with the weekend being over, I seem oddly relaxed and happy. It probably has to do with the fact that it's my last working week before my vacation! I definitely need a reality check if I want to get any work done this week :))!
Love,
Mamalina
