Graffiti

Hello,

On Sunday afternoon, we went to eat at Rock&Pasta, which has lately become our favorite nearby place to eat. The overall experience here is very nice: the food is really good (especially the pasta) and they play very good music (but I guess it was obvious, giving the name of the place...).

Putting together an outfit is a very simple task when I know I'm gonna eat! I like to play on the safe side so I choose clothes that are comfortable. These Zara ripped jeans fit exactly into this category. I bought them on sale, which was great, considering I don't usually buy white clothing items, especially pants. I chose to pair them with a Zara top with glasses print and studded neckline. It seemed like a fun, casual combination.

Note to myself: Remember to always take pictures before I eat...:)! Having to pose on a full stomach- not my ideea of fun :)!

Love,

Mamalina

She's got the blues...

Hello,

The countdown for Corfu has officially started, so this week I'll have to put together the last details of the trip. I'm mostly concerned about my luggage (I have a huge problem with over-packing, I know nothing about moderation...Oups!). Me and 3 other friends will be traveling by car, which means we'll have limited space for the luggage...I guess we'll have to see how that goes...:)!

Between packing, doing laundry, shopping for bathing suits and other stuff we need, getting overly excited, I finally decided to take my favorite blue dress for a walk on Sunday. It was a perfect summer day, the weather was just beautiful!

This dress is Mario by Marius Musat (I'm a big fan of his clothes, especially the dresses) and I think it has the most amazing shape and color. Just because I had to walk a lot, and I'm not really a heels person, I combined it with my trusty Pull&Bear wedges and matching braided brown belt.

There is something extra special about the clutch bag, though, that I really want to share: it is vintage, it's actually Pop's Grandmother's clutch bag, that she was kind enough to offer to me as a present. I love vintage clothing items because they all tell a story and have an old epoch sweet mysterious scent!

Lately, I'm all about little DIY projects :), so I thought I would give it a try with this clutch bag: its simplicity allowed me to play with it. I had this beautiful colored butterfly brooch from Zara, but it was broken. I wanted to fix it the minute I broke it, but never got to until last week. I thought that attaching it to the bag would make it look sophisticated, yet fun, and I was very pleased about the result.

Now, with the weekend being over, I seem oddly relaxed and happy. It probably has to do with the fact that it's my last working week before my vacation! I definitely need a reality check  if I want to get any work done this week :))!

Love,

Mamalina

Waves of lace

In spite of the windy weather, Constanta was a nice getaway for the weekend, and we were glad to find the same lower temperatures when we got home. I don't want this summer to be over, since I'm going to Corfu in 2 weeks time, but I admit I've had enough of those extremely high temperatures. So it was nice to feel cold for a change!

On Sunday we went to the Irish Pub to eat breakfast. There was this amazing view of the beach and the sea near the pub,so we decided to take some pictures while waiting for our omelette :).

Until recently, pairing different patterns and fabrics seemed like a bold choice for me, and I was pretty much avoiding it. Lately, though, I've become quite the fan! On that day, I wore this cute lace dress from Massimo Dutti with a striped Zara sweater and Musette flat sandals. A necklace from Accessorize and my favorite multi-purpose bag completed my outfit.

On a different note, my holiday excitement is setting in. Just 2 more weeks and I will be swimming in the emerald waters of Corfu. Can't hardly wait!

Love,

Mamalina

Go to the seaside, they said...!

This past weekend, me and my friends decided to pay a visit to the Black Sea, for one last tanning session before our big fat Greek holiday :)! Unfortunately, our master plan was ruined by a cloudy, rainy weather.

We had to think of other ways to kill time. We stayed in Constanta, so we visited the sea port ( it was open doors day), ate at our favorite restaurants, went to the Mall, watched a movie (Brave-I recommend it), went home early and slept for 12 hours :)).

Dressing for that weather proved to be quite the challenge for me, especially since I had mostly packed shorts and dresses...:)! Luckily, a cardigan and a long sleeved blouse somehow slipped into my luggage. I am often accused of packing too many clothes, but this time it proved quite useful.

On Saturday, I wore boyfriend shorts from H&M with a Zara floral print shirt and Mango cardigan. Even though we had to walk a lot, my flat sandals from Pull&Bear proved surprisingly comfortable. You can also spot my lovely Musette bag that I practically wear every single day, as it goes with my entire closet :).

Mamalina

I now pronounce you Dr. Husband and Wife

Last weekend we went to Alexandria (our hometown), to celebrate the wedding of one of our friends and high school classmates, Tibi. Both Tibi and Oana are practicing medicine in Craiova, so it's sad to say we don't hang out as much as we'd like to! We were happy to join them on their oh so special day!
It was a whole day event, we didn't want to miss out on anything, and even though it was hot like hell :), we had a wonderful time! I didn't have the time to browse through all the pictures yet, so I'll hopefully come back with more.
For the ceremony at the mayor's office I wore this Zara tulip dress, with a really nice floral print that I absolutely love! What I like the most about it is the fact that I can dress it up, with heels and accessories like I did that day, but I can also dress it down with a nice pair of flat sandals and make it more comfy and casual! Here, I paired it with my all time favorite shoes from Massimo Dutti, a cute headband from Accessorize, bracelet from Meli Melo, watch from DKNY and my Esprit cluch! Hope you like it!

Love,

Mamalina
